What if?

  • No girl in Muhuru Bay would ever have to sell her body to “earn” money for basic personal needs?
  • More than 5% of girls in the village could qualify for secondary school?
  • Girls and boys could study and work together as gender allies?
  • Those are some of the questions WISER’s co-founders Dr. Sherryl Brovermand and Andy Cunningham from Duke University and Dr. Rose Odhiambo from Egerton University committed to answer in partnership with the Muhuru Bay community when they created the WISER School and NGO in 2006.

WISER offers you– individuals, corporations, foundations, NGOs, and partner schools– an opportunity to put girls at the center of your charitable giving and the chance to participate in inspiring change. Please consider giving generously to enable WISER to offer full scholarships to all students.
