Update from the Ground: WISER Walls are Rising

April 25th, 2009

The WISER construction site has been full of activity since day one. According to the WISER contractor on site, WISER is now halfway to its goal. Walls for WISER girls’ dormitories, classrooms, teachers’ housing, and science laboratories are rising day by day, hand by hand. Local workers have almost completed WISER’s headmistress house and are beginning to erect the first water treatment and storage tower in the region. Every day, WISER continues to grow and become more than just a school, but rather a community center for development. Please consider donating today to continue building on WISER’s success and turning WISER’s dream into a reality. Thank you for your continued support.

Pictured above are the brick walls rising to form one of two wings of the girls’ dormitories at WISER. To the right of the dorms are the back walls to the WISER science laboratory. In the background are the heavy rains of the season in the area.
